"Sisters" by RER
Rochelle Linda and Amy lue
Lived in the same small town
Went to the same grade school
Followed each other around
Spent summers in jr high
Navigating adolescent lands
Lost their virginity on the same night
By a camp fire on Amy's daddy's land
Sisters sister sisters in the sense of the word
Sisters sisters sisters haven't you heard
Had one another and that was enough for a while
Until sunset called on their young lives and adulthood stole their smiles
Well Rochelle married for money
Linda married a fool
Amy Lue married her school sweetheart
Innocence's days were through
Rochelle couldn't have babies
Linda she had two
Amy Lue had three little boys
Time didn't fly it flew
Sisters sister sisters in the sense of the word
Sisters sisters sisters haven't you heard
Had one another and that was enough for a while
Until sunset called on their mid lives and adulthood showed its miles
Now Rochelle lives in a nursing home
Linda with her son in Kalamazoo
Amy Lue still in their same small town
One chicken stayed home to roost
Though The days are Almost over
The girls still giggle on the phone
Rochelle Linda and Amy Lue
Had one another all along
Sisters sister sisters in the sense of the word
Sisters sisters sisters haven't you heard
Had one another and that was enough for the while
When sunset called on their long lives
They left this World with a Smile
