My rat wheel's bearings
are on fire ..
Going nowhere for so long
Legs faltering and tired
wheel screaming
all the day and the night
no getting off to rest
Without giving up the fight
The unseen road below
an imaginary path
Led by a carrot on a stick
Sweet Reward to bitter wrath
Hope to make my quota
Twenty four hours in the day
Though what I'm working for
I can not even say
So Scream on damned wheel of life
And take me where thy must
But release my soul when the wheel no longer rolls
And I lay like the rest in the dust
